So I just finished watching the “What’s New in Pega 7.1.8” webinar. It was recorded if you want to watch later(see links below for info). However, the two screen grabs I post here gives all the detail (my notes are below as well)

Pega Mobile features:

  • Offline app mode
  • Skins support native toggles on devices without developer coding
  • Mobile interface preview built in to core product
  • Responsive and adaptive modes are supported
  • APIs for core Pega functionality built in to the platform; SDKs for iOS Android and REST
  • Mobile Mashups

Event Strategy Manager (Additional license required):

  • Big Data integration (I.e., HBase or Cassandra)
  • Third Party predictive models can be built in to flows
  • ESM can feed into Decision Strategies (creating what are call Decision Hubs)

New Features for Core Pega 7:

  • Dashboard personalization (Drill-down coming in 7.1.9)
  • 13 OOB widgets – additional widgets can be developed in-house
  • Application Configuration:
    • New way of building delegated rules
    • Config Types: Data, Decision Logic, Paragraphs
  • Pega API
    • REST/JSON support
    • Available OOB (not additional)
    • secure SSL support
    • Web Mashups enable embedded Pega capability in external systems
    • Pega Testing Tools
      • Automated testing of Data Pages – more testing areas in future releases
    • Re-usable Case Stages and steps!!
      • Use same case stages/steps in different case types and across applications
    • Enhanced Form configuration (built in to Case Design)
